Teaching Assistant

10.5 hours per week (2 days), 38 weeks per annum

NJC C 5 -7 £11.98-£12.59 per hour

Job term: Fixed term until 31st August 2024

LOCATION:  Ashburton Primary School

 

We are looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant starting as soon as possible, working two days per week (either Monday and Tuesday or Thursday and Friday).  This is a fixed term position until the end of this academic year working with children with high SEND needs.

 

You will need to be enthusiastic, have a knowledge of how children learn and be committed to a collaborative approach working with colleagues to deliver the highest quality support and best possible outcomes for each child.  You should have a clear understanding of safeguarding and be passionate about working with children.  Experience working in a primary setting and some evidence of supporting children with SEND would be desirable.

Caretaker

12.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday 3.15-5.45pm

Permanent

Ashburton Primary School (part of the WeST Academy)

Salary:  NJC Grade D (8-12) £12.80-£13.69 per hour

Required as soon as possible.

 

As our caretaker you will play a key role in the running of our school. Be it providing security for the site, site maintenance, cleaning or other directed tasks you will be a valuable member of the our team. This is a varied role, which will cover site security, maintenance and upkeep of facilities, waste management, compliance, as well as additional duties as directed by the Headteacher, all while adhering to good health and safety practices.  You will work with the wider Trust maintenance team to ensure the school remains in excellent condition both for the pupils as a learning environment and for our staff to work in.

 

An aptitude and enjoyment of practical work is at the core of this position.  IT literacy is also required for compliance and record keeping.
