The intent of our Art curriculum is to deliver a curriculum which is accessible to all and that will maximise the outcomes for every child so that: All children are INSPIRED to develop their talents and love learning about all aspects of the Art Curriculum Children BELIEVE in themselves and their abilities; Children DISCOVER and enjoy a wide range of experiences; Children ACHIEVE their full potential in Art Children BELONG to a caring community, which cares about the past, present and future of its environment. Art is one of the highest forms of human creativity. At Ashburton Primary School, our Art education engages, inspires and challenges pupils whilst equipping them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art. As pupils progress, they are able to think critically and understand how art has reflected and shaped our history, and contributed to the culture, creativity and wealth of our nation. |
