Year 5

Tuesday 20th February

Today we were very lucky to take part in an exciting project called 'Build A House' with TouchWood South West. We enjoyed a range of activities and actually built a house in a day! Below are a selection of photographs showing us getting stuck in!

This morning 18th Oct

I went to Keviccs to do a P.E sport activity.

When Miss Rutherford and I arrived there, we had to go in the reception for Miss Rutherford to get a badge. Then I went through the 2 doors to get through the corridor and outside to get to the Sports Hall. When me and Miss Rutherford went in there, it was huge!!!!

The warm up was to throw the bean bag in the air, clap 2 times and then catch it with 1 or 2 hands. When it was time to sit down and get our groups organised, we all sat quietly and went off to our 1st activity.

The 1st one I did was to pretend to stick our hands , back , legs or feet to the floor and then we threw a hard small ball at a big football to try and move it or a beach ball. When we all ran out of time, there was a 10 minute break then we did the 2nd activity.

The 2nd activity was to roll or throw a big ball. After that it was certificate time. I got called out by a lady who works for South Dartmoor. When I got my certificate, I was beaming happy and Miss Rutherford took a picture of me holding my T-Rex and my certificate. Miss Rutherford and I were waiting 2 minutes to get picked up!! At the reception was Mrs Gilbert outside waiting!!!!! Her car smelt lovely.
