The intent of our MFL curriculum is to deliver a curriculum which is accessible to all and that will maximise the outcomes for every child so that:

We have an ambitious, high-quality and evidence informed curriculum that allows all learners to succeed and we provide a curriculum that prepares the children for future language learning.  It is a carefully planned curriculum, which weaves together the strands of Grammar, Vocabulary and Phonics with language aquisition sequenced from novice to expert.  The content choice is informed by grammatical function and high frequency vocabulary, allowing children to acquire the most useful language.  Logical progression through systematic and explicit teaching of defined linguistic content, enables all children to aquire the intended knowledge and skills.
