The intent of our MFL curriculum is to deliver a curriculum which is accessible to all and that will maximise the outcomes for every child so that: All children are INSPIRED to develop their talents and love of learning a second language. Children BELIEVE in themselves and their abilities as second language learners Children DISCOVER and enjoy the links between their own language and a second language Children ACHIEVE their full potential in Language Learning. Our aim is for 100% of our pupils to learn about the French language. Children BELONG to a caring community, which supports them in their Language learning journey.
100% of KS2 Ashburton Primary School children experience learning a second language (French) and be happy, open and confident to have-a-go at communicating in that language at the appropriate level. They will have a deep respect for other languages and cultures. We aim to create a life-long love of language-learning and the core skills to be able to learn any other language they may need to learn in the future. |
