Happy Half Term Year 5!
Thank you so much for all of your hard work in the last few weeks and all of the photos that you have sent in. I am really proud of you all.
Now have a well-earned break from home learning for the next week and enjoy the sunshine. I would love to still see photos of what you get up to if you wish to send them to me at our class email:
I am planning on doing lots more walks around where I live and some runs too. I have ordered a new pool for Isla which she is very excited about. I'm not sure whether I'll be taking a dip though-brrrrrrrrrr!!
Stay safe and have a wonderful time.

Hello Year 5! I hope you've had a lovely weekend!
For the next 2 weeks before half term, our new home learning topic is SEA VOYAGES!
This topic is one that I am sure all of you will enjoy immensely.
All the teachers at Ashburton have worked really hard this week to make sure you have lots to be getting on with so make sure you email us your pictures and examples of your work. I am already excited to see what you have been up to.
Remember I am still looking at Accelerated Reader, MyMaths and TT Rockstars daily to make sure you are keeping on track. If you have any questions or need some help, make sure to email me on firstname.lastname@example.org
In other news, our new YouTube Channel will be going live this week! I have recorded a message for you so do go and have a look and see what I have been up to. Check out the Parent Mail email this morning for the link to my video.
I hope you are all well and that you are keeping busy.

Welcome to another home learning week Year 5!
Thank you for all the photos of your fabulous learning from last week. Keep them coming in! Please find this week's learning below.
Some of you superstars have finished the first block of MyMaths that had been set. I keep an eye on your progress regularly and will set the next set of work once I see that you have finished the first. Please also message me on the class email when you require more!
I am also regularly checking TTRockstars and Accelerated Reader and it would be great to see every single class member logging on and completing tasks this week!
This week is a 4 day home learning week (yipee!) because of V.E. Day on Friday! I would love to see photos if you are doing anything special for this day e.g. dressing up in red, white and blue!
Have a great week. I miss you all. Stay safe.
Hi Year 5!
I have been very impressed with the learning this week. Thank you for all the photos that have been sent in to show this. Remember to keep sending them in to our class email : email@example.com
Here are a few of the fab photos:
Hello Year 5!
Here are some pictures of some brilliant home learning that have been sent to me this week by John and Riley. I have really enjoyed sharing your learning and seeing what you have been doing.
Let's see how many pictures we can have next week in our 'Learning Gallery'. Please send your pictures to our new class email address which is:
I am so keen to see your learning but please remember that I will only add them to the gallery if you give me permission to share them.
Keep up the good work Y5 and have a wonderful weekend!
Hello Year 5!
I hope you have had a lovely Easter and haven't eaten too many eggs. I have worked hard at not eating Isla and Archie's when they are not looking!
I miss you guys and have been wondering what you have all been up to. Please continue to send in pictures of your home learning. You can now send them to a special Year 5 email address and I would love to share them on here so that you can see what your fellow class members have been up to!
I hope you have been able to get out and enjoy the lovely sunshine that we have been having. I have been for some lovely runs around where I live and have discovered some new routes too. I just wish it wasn't so hilly-phew!
Have a look at this website to keep up to date with the themes and work for each week. We will be updating it regularly.
Remember that you can also contact the class email if you have any problems or questions and I can then reply directly to you.
Keep up the good work in these tricky times and stay safe.
Miss Smith :)
Happy Easter Holidays Year 5!
I hope that you have been able to enjoy the lovely sunshine we have been having and have been able to keep as active as possible! Isla and I have been doing the Joe Wicks sessions and feeling a lot better for it!
I hope that you have also been keeping up with some of the work that has been set. You don’t have to do hours a day but just a little bit every day will help for when we get back together.
Here for Easter is an Easter Bingo Challenge! Have a go at some of the activities and remember to send in pictures if you can! There will be certificates for any of you that complete all 10!
Have a lovely Easter from Miss Smith and Mrs McCauley!
We hope that you are all managing to keep active and if possible get out into the sunshine. Here is a link for PE activities that you can try at home.
Keep smiling and keep moving!
Good morning Year 5!
Here are some things for your home learning for the coming weeks. These are for you to use if you think they will be helpful. Having a timetable can really help you to organise your day - you can also design your own. Each day, try to do plenty of different things and be as creative as you can. This might be a time to learn a new skill as well.
Take care and enjoy the sunshine,
Miss Smith and Mrs. McCauley
