All parents are automatically considered to be 'Friends' of Ashburton Primary School. We welcome everybody to our meetings and welcome offers of help with open arms. Please keep an eye on the Friends Facebook page to find out what is going on.  

We have lots of brilliant fundraising ideas for our playground improvements fund and for fun events for all our school community.

 Last year contributions from the Friends funds subsidised the following class trips:

• Year 3 and 4 visits to the farmwise event at Westpoint and to Kents Cavern
• Reception and year 1s visit to Dartmoor Zoo
• Reception's visit to the Rare Breeds Farm
• Year 1's visit to Buckfastleigh steam railway.
• Year 2s visit to Plymouth aquarium and to Totnes castle.
• Theatre trips for all children: Reception and Year 1 went to see "Room on the Broom"

                                               Year 2 and year 3 went to see  "Running Wild"

                                               Year 4 and year 6 went to see " Gangsta Granny"

                                                Year 5 went to see Matilda

• Year 5's trip to London.
• Theatre Alibi performance in school.
   

Friends also arranged many events which were an opportunity for our children to have fun and for families to come together. 

• Apple Day
• School Discos in the Autumn term and the Summer Term
• Easter egg hunt in the Spring term
• Summer Fair and the Christmas fair.

Well done to everybody who contributed in so many ways and thank you to the hard working committee who made it all possible.
